Words by Joel Graham – LDH Athletic Director
This week we feature a grade 9 student, Zach Poirier who is attending classes in person at LDH this year. Zach has been at Longfields since grade 7. He is a full energy student, he needs and wants to be active as much as he can to make school fun. In grade 7 he got involved with as many teams as possible in his first year. He played touch football, basketball, volleyball, track and rugby. He was looking forward to continuing as a multi sport athlete but has been slowed down by political job actions and covid 19 restrictions. We can’t wait to see what Zach will get up to as part of RAVEN ATHLETICS in the future as he grows and matures during his time at LDH! Here is hoping Zach can get back on the courts soon!
