Touch Football Update

Updated: May 9, 2019

After picking up a win against neighbouring Pierre Savard the purple birds traveled to take on the Jags from St. Joe’s Wednesday.

This from Coach Elliot…….

Your Varsity Touch Footie Ravens gave it their all on both sides of the ball Wednesday afternoon, eventually falling by a measly single point against perennial powerhouse St. Joe’s. Final score, Jags 7 vs. Birds 6.The girls in Purple controlled much of the time of possession, made some great defensive reads against a very creative and athletic Jaguar offence (56 points in their first two games!) and competed hard right up until the final play where we still had a chance to win it…A huge play day from Amanda White and several huge backfield tags from lil’ sis Nat White were instrumental in keeping things close.Karyn Tebrake came through with a big scoring catch from QB1 Antaya and Bea Bosick brought the noise all day long from the always-critical rushing spot.Next up, the girls host those rival BullDogs from JohnMaCrae, Tuesday at 4 pm on the Raven Turf, with huge playoff implications on the line.
