Your Senior Ballin’ Boys made it home safely late Wednesday afternoon after suffering a heartbreaking loss in Game #3 of the OFSAA BBall Tournament in Hamilton on Tuesday night.Defying all logic, permutations and possible combinations, your boys in purple got stuck with the most unfriendly of OFSAA Draws, including showdowns with #2, #5 and eventually home-town favourite and #3 seeded Hamilton Cathedral in our trifecta of studly opponents within the 18-team Bracket.Game #3 just wasn’t meant to be despite our guys grinding out a 3 point lead with 45 seconds to go against a notorious provincial basketball power, in front of their home town fans. A few phantom calls, missed bunnies, and a miraculous coast to coast buzzer beating bucket for the opposing Gaels ended our chances of advancing to the Consolation Semis.Very proud of the bounce back and effort from our entire collection of Raven boys. Please know how hard all the boys have worked since that first tryout back in October.Wishing graduating Seniors Haven Holder, Jovin Bains, Jiles Bareng and Cameron Elliot all our best as they move on to the next phase of their academic and athletic lives. Thanks to everyone for your patience, flexibility and support of our Hoops Program throughout our season.Special mention to Carol Luce and her entire Cheer Team for all they’ve done to help create the best home court bball experience in the City, bar none! There is no doubt you’ve all been a big part of this special group of young men’s surprising and exciting journey.See you back on the Raven hardwood next Fall… Coach Elliot
